Nikki Rausch with Your Sales Maven
February 12, 2020
Hey there! Lydia here. Welcome back to our She Knows Her Numbers Blog series!
This year, I really want to dive into the idea that you can understand your numbers. I thought the best way to show you this is to give you examples of real women business owners who are taking imperfect steps to know and understand their numbers.
This week, I’ll be featuring Nikki with Your Sales Maven! She is wonderful to learn from and I’m so excited for you to get to know her! She not only has a gift for sales, but the tactical tools to teach you what you need to know to get better at it. Without further ado, here is Nikki!
CEO of Sales Maven, Nikki Rausch has the unique ability to transform the misunderstood process of “selling”.
With 25+ years of experience selling to prestigious organizations like The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and NASA, Nikki shattered sales records and received “top producer” awards along the way.
Today, entrepreneurs and small business owners hire Nikki to show them how to sell successfully and authentically.
Nikki has written 3 books, all available Amazon.
What accounting system do you use?
Do you consider yourself a natural numbers girl?
No – I love money, talking money, counting money, tacking money but I don’t love the accounting side, tracking expenses, etc.
What are you doing to become more comfortable with your numbers?
I have a bookkeeper who does my books monthly and have a monthly meeting with my CFO to review my P&L’s and talk strategy for building my business while minimizing my expenses.
How often are you checking your numbers?
Have you outsourced this? Give your bookkeeper a shout out!
Yes, I have a bookkeeper who puts together monthly reports for me.
What’s your best advice for someone just starting out in regard to their money?
Pay attention to the money coming in to your business and the money going out. Set revenue goals and track them weekly so you know what you need to do to hit the goals
What’s your Starbucks order? (Just for fun!)
Iced Chai Tea Latte
What report is most helpful for you to look at?
How do you stay organized?
I book time on my calendar to do tasks
How do you make looking at your numbers more fun?
I track how much revenue I bring in each week and I also show how much is left to sell in order to hit my revenue goal. I love the feeling of getting over the 50% mark where I’ve brought in more money than I still need to sell.
